About Us

We Help Businesses That Want To Grow

We are obsessed by the idea that a decision to go into business, the sacrifices that are often made and the time and effort involved, must surely be rewarded by a business that is a life changing asset. For you and your family. For now and for the future.

We know that approximately 25% of all businesses really want to grow. Are you one of them? Has your business reached $3M annual turnover or well on the way to achieving that? If so, we can help you get to the next level.

For over 26 years we have been privileged to be a part of hundreds of just such success stories.

It will take some discipline and some work, but you wouldn’t be reading this if you were a stranger to either of these. Importantly, we will be there, guiding and supporting you every step of the way.

If we are suited to working together, our process is a proven path to business growth.

We will begin by “taking stock” of your current situation, assessing your business model and structure, your available resources, and maximising your profits. We will also put tracking and accountability measures in place to ensure you stay on the path.

Next, we will work on “designing your future”. We are going to help you uncover what you really want out of business and what you ultimately want to achieve. This stage is all about taking your commitments, constraints, and other challenges into account, and clearing a path towards your aspirations.

Finally, it’s time to “map it out”. Now that we understand and know your present position, and have a set of specific targets you want to achieve, we are going to plan the exact steps of getting you there. This will include the broader long-term plans, as well as an ongoing series of 90-day plans. With regular reviews to ensure you stay on course.

Together, we will grow your business in the following 4-step sequence:

What we’ll do

We’ve already helped hundreds of our clients improve and grow their businesses. And we’ll be using the same four-step process to help you grow yours. Here’s what we’ll do.

  • FIX
    • Assess and address any concerns you have about your business – including cashflow.
    • Make sure your business has the right tools, systems and processes in place.
    • Look at your repetitive tasks, and try to automate as many as possible.
    • Bring all your accounts and outstanding lodgements up to date.
    • Review your business structure (and restructure it if necessary) to make sure it supports your future plans.
  • SOW
    • Spend time with you to come up with a business strategy for what you want to achieve in the next 5–10 years.
    • Perform a “What if?” analysis on your business model to make sure it will give you the best possible outcome (i.e. profit) for your business.
    • Design a 12–24-month profit and cashflow forecast based on that business model that also helps you pay off any debts you may have.
    • Create a personalised dashboard that provides the important details about your business so you can watch it grow in real time.
  • GROW
    • Set a three-month growth plan for your business, and then review and revise it every quarter.
    • Schedule regular accountability meetings to keep you on track and identify (and clear) any bottlenecks.
    • Revise your 12–24-month profit and cashflow forecast to stay on top of any changes in both your business and the industry in general.
    • Run regular board meetings to review how each division in your business is performing.
  • Reap
    • Help you make the most of tax concessions so you may minimise tax and get the best possible return.
    • Discuss how you can reinvest in your business (providing the returns are justified).
    • Help you design and implement ways to make even more money outside your business.

John Scott - Strategist

I don’t remember a time when I was not involved in business. My mother married my father on the condition she could have her own business as soon as the kids were old enough.

As soon as she was able, she was in business. I was there every step of the way, listening to the decisions being made and being involved wherever I could. This started my lifelong obsession with businesses, business owners and the entrepreneurial spirit.

I felt the need to acquire skills that would be useful to the family business, so I headed off to university to study economics & accounting.  Despite my initial intentions, I did not return to the family business but instead went on to spend a decade in banking, merges and acquisitions before going starting my own business.

As anyone in business will tell you, it’s difficult being an entrepreneur and the yellow brick road has its share of heartbreak and failures along the way.  I was, and still am obsessed with finding ways to use my education and experience to help my clients run better businesses.

As a practicing accountant, it soon became clear to me that all the typical statements the profession prepares on behalf of its clients, investigated the past and had no impact on their decision-making process because, among other things:

  1. They didn’t understand what they were reading.
  2. The Information was too late to have any real decision-making impact
  3. They’re only doing it because they must do it to report to the government to work out how much tax to pay.

I’ve made it my lifelong ambition to change this. We’ve got the tools to look forward and so we now only work with business owners who want to grow and want to look forward, and who possess the personality type required to grow and run a prosperous and thriving business.

And Sow, Grow and Reap, is what we help them do.

If I could guarantee how much extra $$ your business would generate with me UPFRONT.. would you like to know how?

I’ll get to the point… I can 100% show you how to grow your Business in 2019/2020 and help you figure out how to make your BUSINESS work harder for you, not the other way around!

Is your business running you into the ground? Do you struggle to find decent staff?
Do you sometimes think you’ve been working really hard for a while now; so should be seeing greater reward for that effort?
If this sounds like you and your Business in running you into the ground it’s time to get an experienced Business Coach involved.

I worked with a business owner who over a 10 month period was able to systemize her business, find the right key staff members and exit herself from the day to day operations. I helped another Business owner turn around a loss situation within 12months. Every $1 he paid me, he made $75 back in the first 12months. These are just 2 of many examples of the type of results my clients achieve, and I can show you exactly how to do it for your Business.

I have worked with clients to secure funding through government grants. I have assisted clients with time-poor schedules to plan their exit whilst increasing the value of the business. I have personally coached and advised businesses across 10 different industries with over 10,000 direct hours of business coaching and advising with clients. I have held workshops and presentations for between 30 and 400 business owners to assist them in planning their growth.

I work with directors that are time poor to internally and externally grow their business and find innovative ways to raise capital in order to reach their end goal.

So if you are ready to see some drastic changes in yourself, your business, your team and your PROFIT, get in touch today.
